“ You’ll thank me for this one day “
“ No, I won’t ! Never ! In your dreams ! “
Growing up, this used to be a very common conversation thread between mum and I.

Over the years, my mother has never allowed me to back down
from any challenge thrown in my path, and on more than one occasion has firmly
put me right in the path of great challenges. Most of all, she taught us how to
give. I remember our ire as children when she would pack up our toys each year
and donate them away “because there are children out there with no toys to play
and you haven’t touched these in a long long long time!!”. Today, my tiger *ahem* supermummy
turns … 25 ! Again ! :P And because I
cannot think of a better gift, here’s a great big thank you, to make up for all
the thank you's I never told you.
So thank you mummy for constantly showing me that by pushing
my limits, I widen my horizon.
Thank you mummy for showing me that nothing worth having, ever
comes easy. And for constantly saying that even gold has to go through fire to
get moulded ( See ! I listen wan ! )
Thank you mummy for showing me that by never giving up, we
get the strength to plow through the bend and see greater things at the end of
the road.
Thank you mummy for constantly reminding me not to settle
for anything less than the best that one can give. For teaching me how to love,
and give.
Thank you mummy for being a living testimony, and a living
example of the unconditional love that God has for us.
